Case study

Limassol Marina

Faraday provides public charging for visitors to the Limassol Marina parking garage — one 40 kW DC fast charger and five 22 kW AC chargers. Visitors authenticate and pay through the Faraday Pay App, and every session is monitored in real time. Built with our local partner in Cyprus, GREEV LTD.

Visitor experience

No account, no app, nothing to carry

Visitors to the garage aren't fleet drivers or residents. They won't download an app or carry an RFID card, so paying has to work the very first time.

Scan at the charger

A QR code on the unit opens checkout in the driver's browser. No app to install, no account to create, no RFID card to carry.

The card is held, not charged

A pre-authorisation hold is placed for the session limit before charging begins. Energy and time are then metered against the tariff assigned to that connector.

Charged for what was actually used

When the session ends the hold is settled for the metered amount rather than the amount reserved, and the driver gets an itemised receipt showing duration, energy and each priced line with its tax.

What the operator sees

The same sessions from the marina's point of view: what every connector is doing right now, and the billing record behind each charge.

  • Real-time session monitoring

Sessions are visible while they run, with live connector status across all six units.
  • Billing receipts

Every completed session carries an itemised record of duration, energy delivered and each priced line with its tax.
  • Tariffs per connector

The DC fast charger and the AC units can be priced separately, each with its own energy, time and idle charges.
  • Faraday bills the driver

Faraday is the merchant of record for every card payment, so the marina doesn't handle payment processing or the tax behind it.
